High Speed Digital Cameras for Motion Analysis
Auriga-SI offers a wide selection of high-speed digital cameras, manufactured by Photron, which provide slow motion video replay and analysis. Introduced at the 2009 SPIE Conference in San Jose the SA-5, with a full 1024 x 1000 pixel resolution at 7,500 pictures per second with user-definer Region of Interest, and a maximum speed of 775,000 fps, is the new leader of our extensive camera line. The proven APX-RS has become the top customer choice to help solve tough research, engineering and production problems in commercial applications. The predominate choice for missile tracking at the worlds largest open-air /over-land missile range in the northern hemisphere is the APX-RS with 1024 x 1024 resolution at 3,000 PPS, recording speeds to 250,000 fps with instant video replay and intuitive easy operation.
Complementing the high resolution 1024 x 1024 line, the Fastcam SA3 cameras offer up to 2,000 fps at full resolution and up to 120,000 at reduced resolution. The FASTCAM HM-4 is possibly the world’s smallest high speed video camera. Incorporating a small DC powered processor which can support four tiny (1.5” cubed) camera heads, connecting cable lengths from three to thirty three feet, a Gigabit Ethernet interface, battery backup power and designed for environments subject to high G-forces, shock and vibration, this camera was a hit at the Automotive Testing Expo held in Novi, Michigan.
